MYSORE: Dasara is not just heritage and tradition; it's also a rocking time for youngsters. Curtains will go up on Thursday for Yuva Dasara, the latest addition to Dasara festivities.
Cine stars, TV artistes, playback singers,musicians and dancers, troupes from abroad besides Indian cultural troupes will perform in Yuva Dasara to be held at Open Air Theatre (OAT) in Manasagangothri starting October 6.

This time, the organisers have roped in leading actors from the Kannada film industry, who will dance to tunes of dazzling numbers in the 12,000 plus capacity OAT.
Cine stars Darshan, Sunil Rao, Vijaya Raghavendra, Anu Prabhakar and Ashitha will inaugurate the youth festival on October 6 at 6 pm, which will be followed by film songs by noted play back singers Hemanth and Nandita. Gold card and tourist passport holders need not worry as their seats are assured.
Prestigious educational institutions will perform tantalising and thrilling group dances of film origin. College managements, artistes and officials of various government departments are busy coordinating with each other to host the event professionally.
For the first time, Mysore's upcoming popfusion band 'Samyukth' will perform in a live concert scheduled for October 7.
